144 Hours Transit in Shanghai - Two different flight carriers

We will fly from KUL to PVG(Direct flight) with one airline carrier, stay for 5 days in Shanghai, then fly out with another airline carrier to SFO(Direct flight), am I eligible to apply for 144 hours visa-free transit? Thank you!
