Visa Requirement for Pakistani

Is it true that visa requirement for Pakistani is to book the air tickets with Cathay Pacific?

It is for all airlines. Since 2017 or so the HK government has canceled the transit visa waiver for Pakistanis when holding a visa of a developed country and traveling to or from that country. Now any type of stopover requires a visa with no exception.

Thanks for your reply. I understand the visa is mandatory regardless of transit/stop over. My question is do Pakistani have to fly with Cathay Pacific only in order to get the Hong Kong visa?

I do not believe the HK government would impose such a requirement since Cathay Pacific is private-owned, unlike PIA. The required documents are the same as a tourist visa though.
