About:144-Hour Visa-Free Transit

144 hour visa free transit Cruise from Singapore to Shanghai

We are travelling on Irish Passports and will be boarding a Royal Caribbean cruise ship in Singapore. We have 2 stops in Vietnam and 1 in Hong Kong and then arrive in Shanghai. We have booked a hotel in Shanghai for 2 nights and then have booked flights home on Emirates via Dubai
From what we have read online, we should be eligible to get it.
Our concern is whether Royal Caribbean will allow us to board the ship in Singapore without a visa for China in our passport?
Should Royal Caribbean now about this 144 hour visa free transit?

You are definitely fine with 144 hours visa free transit as Chinese authorities are concerned. Also, I'm more than certain that Royal Caribbean is also familiar with 144 hours visa free transit, but I would also suggest that you inform them about your intention beforehand. Your informing of Royal Caribbean should not be in the form whether we are allowed or similar, but just we will use 144 hours visa free transit in China, hope this is fine for you.
