Application form number

How do I get an application number ?
Does the number come up when the application form is completed?
Do I need to give the names and dates of all the hotels I am going to stay in?
Cant I give just the details of the 1st hotel in Beijing ?
Where do I get the application number to make an appointment?

Yes, the application number is generated after you complete the application form. You had better give names and dates of all the hotels you are going to lodge. However, it's fine to change the hotel after you get the visa.

Hello Vivian
Thank you for your reply but i am still totally in the dark .
I completed the application form , printed it , saved it , how can it then generate an application number when it has not gone anywhere and is still on my screen ?
Do i need to e - mail it and , if so , to whom ?
This is turning into a complete nightmare and i cannot see a way out.

Dear, don't worry. I tried it and I did find the application form number. The thing is that you have to click "Quick Access" on the homepage of the CVASC in UK. Then select "Enter" below the word "Application Form". After that, you can see a page displaying Instructions for online visa application form and something like this. Just go to the bottom and tick "Agree". Then, select your location in the pull-down menu of the new page. Enter the verification code and select A "This option is the most straightforward way of completing and submitting your application form. You can use it at any time no matter what circumstances you are under. " After all are done, click "Start" at the bottom of this page, and you will see the application form number in the new window in the form of 0005518690 (an example).
