About:144-Hour Visa-Free Transit

I am flying into Shanghai to board cruise,stopping in Beijing for 3 days,then going to South Korea,a

Do I qualify for the 144 hours visa free if I am going on a cruise leaving from Shanghai,stopping in Beijing for 3 days,sailing to South Korea,Japan,then flying out to Tokyo back to Toronto,Canada.I need to know for sure. I hope someone can help me .Thanks.

You need a tourist visa in advance, for sure. 144 hours transit without visa does not allow you to stop in both Shanghai and Beijing.
