About:China Visa on Arrival

UK Passport holder and travelling on a cruise stopping at Shanghai port for approx. 12 hours

Arriving from Hong Kong and travelling onto Japan. Do I need a visa?

You are able to use the 24 hour direct transit in Shanghai by traveling like that. No visa is needed. Nice trip.
