About:China Transit Visa
My layover is of 8 h 15 min at Guangzhou. My citizenship is Indian, do I need a transit visa?

No, you don't. You just have to count the number of hours from your scheduled landing in China and your scheduled departure from the country. In case that you will stay less than 24 hours, you are perfectly qualified for 24 hours visa free transit. Please, keep in mind that you have to arrive in China from one and depart to another country, i.e. India - China - South Korea.0
