What happens if I bring more than 20000 RMB

If I wanted to bring in more than 20,000 RMB for everyday purchases, traveling and dining, what kind of paperwork would I need to bring?

You can take $5,000 and then change to RMB in China. In fact, you don't need to prepare any document since it is not allowed for foreigners to take more than 20,000RMB or 5,000USD. It is better for you to take a bank card.
