About:Chinese Embassy in South Korea

I am Hungarian citizen. I am currently running out on a short business visa I have.

My business trip is over, but I would like to stay in Beijing for a little while longer. Could I apply for an L straight after my current visa expires? And will an invite letter from a friend in Beijing will suffice?

It's possible for you to apply for L type at the exit and entry administration of the local PSB. You can inquire them the details.
