About:Guangzhou to Hong Kong Train

Can i collect the train ticket a day before and which counter or where do I go to collect?

For this trip from Guangzhou to HK? You can collect the ticket one day in advance at any railway station ticket counter. In Guangzhou, the main station, east station and south station etc can be used.

As I know, the HK to GZ tickets should be collected in HK West Kowloon in most case, but there is exception. If you book with this website, you can inform them your prefered place for ticket collectoin, for example in HK or in Guangzhou.
