About:144-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Urgent 144 hour visa question (UK)

Hi there,
My sister is coming to visit China with the intention of getting a 144hour twov exemption.
Her outbound flight has a transfer in Dubai. So her flight it Emery goes;
UK>Dubai (transfer)>Beijing (stay for 144hours)
Then her inbound goes;
Beijing > Dubai (5days) > UK.

Question 1.
Is it ok that her flight is not direct to Beijing and stops in Dubai for a transfer?

Question 2.
Her 2nd country of visit will be Dubai for 4 days, will that be ok as that was the country she had to transfer at on her outbound journey?

Your help would be GREATLY appreciated 😊

She must get a visa or change her flights. Otherwise she will be denied boarding in UK. She is travelling UAE-Beijing-UAE so she is not in transit at Beijing, and 144 hours transit without visa does not apply.

Her other option is to add in a side-trip to, for example, Hong Kong while she is in China. Then she would be flying UAE-Beijing-HKG-Beijing-UAE which would qualify. The extra round-trip can be on a separate ticket.
