About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

travel to Shangai and Beijing

I have a trip scheduled From Bankok to Shangay then Hongkong, then form Hongkong to Beijing then the UK
such as:
Bangok/ Shankgay/ honghong
Honghong/Beijing/UK
I will stay in Shanghai and Beijing for 48 hours in each city. Can I apply twice for the 72 hours free transit?

yes, after you arrive in the third country you can turn around and transit through China again. No limit on how long you have to leave China before you do it again.
