About:144-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Transit domestically in China

Hi,

I planned HEL-WUH, WUH-HKG by train and I want to use the 144h transit free, but there's no direct fligths from Helsinki to Wuhan, only via another city in China, so for example if I have a stopover in Xiamen before arriving Wuhan, can I use the 24h transit first and then when I arrive Wuhan, apply 144h twov?

No it doesn't work.

It doesn't work at all. Even if you flew (for example) HEL-CDG-WUH you still can't take the train from Wuhan to Hong Kong without a visa.
