should i get my suitcases back when i transfer at hong kong airport?

I will go to Australia by Cathay Pacific, do I need to get my suitcases back when i transfer in HK or it will go to Australia directly? Thank you!

For the international to international transfer, generally speaking, you don't need to get the suitcases and recheck them. You'd better to consult the airlines and whether if they have luggage check through service.
