About:240-hour Visa-free Transit in Wuhan

AUS > HK > Wuhan > HK > AUS?

I'm travelling from Australia to Wuhan via Hong Kong. So I will arrive in HK for transit on the same day as there is not direct route from Qantas (my airline). I will then fly back to Hong Kong after 5 days in the city and back home to Australia after another 7 days.

Hong Kong is not part of China but I will technically be arriving into Wuhan from Hong Kong not from Australia. Can I get the 144hr free visa? Thanks

You need a visa in advance or different flights. 144 hours transit without visa does not apply because Hong Kong-Wuhan-Hong Kong is not a transit, it's a visit to China.
