About:China Embassy in Thailand

Does a Thai Passport qualify for 24 hour transit free through GUANGZHOU , BAIYUN AIRPORT?

We are one Thai passport and two Canadian passports traveling through GUANGZHOU , BAIYUN AIRPORT

We have a 19-hour layover in transit and would like to book a hotel near the Airport.

I see the Canadian passport is OK for 24 hours but not sure in regards to the Thai Passport.

Do we need a Visa for a Canadian or Thai Passport?

If it's a transit in Guangzhou, you could apply for the 24h twov after arrival.

24-hour visa-free transit in China, also called the 24-hour transit without visa (24-hour TWOV for short), regulates that visa is not required for air, train, and ship passengers transiting in mainland China for a stay of no more than 24 hours before heading for a third country or region.
