Beijing Visa. Do I qualify for 72 hr or 144 hr Visa?

US Citizen traveling from Vancouver direct to -> Beijing, direct to -> Hong Kong.

If those are your only stops you don't need a visa for up to 144 hours in Beijing, starting at 00:01 the day after arrival.
