Wanting to stay in China for 78 days

I would like to stay in China for 78 days during the summer. I will be attending summer school for the first 30 days, then I will stay in Shanghai for 48 days, would I be able to get an X2 for the first 30 days, then go to PBS and downgrade to L tourist, then renew tourist visa for another 30 days at PBS? Thanks
