Indonesian Passport holder

Hi, thank you for the information! Very helpful, I have a question if you don’t mind, for Indonesian passport holder, do I need to apply for visa? Or I can do the visa free transit for 20 hours layover, I didn’t see Indonesia on one of the list here, but when I go the China gov website I see Indonesia...

As I know, you can apply for the 24-hour visa-free transit if you hold a connecting flight ticket and transit from China to a third country or region and stay in China for not more than 24 hours and do not leave the port of entry.

leaving port of entry meaning the airport? I was thinking that we can go to the city for couple hours, is that possible?

If you get the 24-hour visa-free transit at Beijing airport, you can visit Beijing City no more than 24 hours and then get back to the Beijing airport to catch the next flight.
