International flight from LAX- PEK- Manila, Philippines

I wonder what would be the procedure of transfer from LAX- Beijing- to Manila, Philippines.
I will be arriving PEK from LAX by Air China & transfer going to Manila, Philippines by Air China (the same).
How far and long will take me to where i will board going to Manila, Philippines since i have a toddler with me.
Is my lugagges automatically transfer to the next transfer plane?
Also my return, same airline by Air China. From Manila philippines- PEK - LAX. Is it the same procedure?
