Visa for ukrainian citizen

Hello. I have a ukrainian passport and will have a 24 hour long layover in Shanghai on April 24th. Do i need to apply for a visa to go out of the airport for one day?

If you intend to leave the airport, you are advised to apply for a visa beforehand.
