About:240-Hour Visa-Free Transit

FRA - ICN-PVG-ICN-TYO

If I fly from Frankfurt to Shanghai via Korea (no stopover) - and then from Shanghai to Tokyo again via Korea (no stopover) - will I be allowed visa free travel? Or do I need to fly directly to Tokyo from Shanghai? I am a German national. Many thanks

You need to fly Shanghai-Tokyo without a stop in Korea or other cities in Mainland China.
