Checked luggage from LAX TO TYO

Hello,
I am flying from LAX to TYO with a 2 hour layover in PEK. All on Air China. Will they move my checked bags from my first flight to my second or do I have to collect them and then recheck them? I know how this works usually, but I have my doubts with such a large airport.
