About:24-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Can I leave the Shanghai airport for 2 separate layovers spread apart by 15 days

I have a 9 hour layover in Shanghai from Vancouver, Canada to New Delhi, India and 15 days later have a 18 hour layover in Shanghai on the way back from New Delhi to Vancouver. Am I able to leave the airport both times and will I be able to receive one 24-hour TWOV for each layover?

My nationality is Canadian.

You don't need a visa but whether you can leave the airport is up to immigration. Contact the airline to see if you are eligible for a free hotel voucher which will help immigration clearance (if none is offered then you can either make your own reservation or be prepared to stuck inside the transit area).
