About:China Transit Visa

Uk passport travelling to New Zealand

Hi,
I am travelling to Christchurch with a change of planes in Guangzhou, waiting for 6 hrs before the plane departs, do I need a visa for just staying at the airport?

No, it's a simple connection at Guangzhou if you are travelling on one ticket. Just show your onward boarding pass and clear security.
