About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

I'm heading Thiland and possibly get 9 hour layover at Beijing airport do I need visa in case ?

I'm heading Thiland and possibly get 9 hour layover at Beijing airport do I need visa in case if I want to go outside ?

I'm planning to fly from USA and heading Thiland?

No, but an immigration officer will still question you to determine whether you can enter the country. If they determined you are not eligible (e.g., transit time is too short) then you cannot.

What about if layover 15 hour ? Still they question or may refuse tranist visa ?

I saw on here some 72 hours visa and kinda confuse about China tranist things :(

If this is one of the stops that is not overnight w/ hotel you can expect to spend the time in the airport but maybe you will get lucky and they will let you leave airport but its not a guarantee.

Transit permit and permit to spend the transit outside airport are not the same thing. You need to be 24 hours + and approved passport then you have almost 100% chance to leave airport

My flight will land there by 4:50 AM
PEK Beijing Capital ( April 6 fly US to Beijing )

And Next flight
7:35 PM ( next day April 7 )
FLY from PEK Beijing Capital TO
BKK Bangkok Suvarnabhumi

What are my options staying in airport or I can get 24 hour free visa ?

4.50am on April 6 to 7.35pm on April 7 is more than 24 hours. If your passport is from one of the 53 listed countries you will qualify for 144 hours transit without visa and you can leave the airport. If you have another passport then you need a visa.

"24 hour free visa" doesn't exist. There are two separate things: 1. Your route qualifies for 24 hours transit without visa (ie you don't need a visa). 2. You can only leave the airport if the immigration officer issues you a Temporary Entry Permit. That is at the discretion of the officer in Shanghai, and there are several recent reports that this has been refused for daytime connections. If that happens to you then you have to stay in the airport.
