About:How to Travel to China without a Visa

Manila - PVG - Honolulu

I'm travelling to Honolulu for vacation, but have a 7 hour layover in Shanghai PVG airport and I hold a Spanish passport. If i want to leave the airport to look around, I can apply for the 24 hour free transit when I arrive at the airport?

Yes you can apply for 24 hr transit visa and yes leave airport - if you are really keen and fast and flights on time you could catch maglev and metro to the Bund .

Shanghai has been very strict recently on leaving airport for short transits under 8 hours for all nationalities (especially for those not part of the 72/144 hr options) . Inez can try but its mostly a waste of time.

Thanks for the info. Spain is part of those that have the 72/144 hour options.
