About:144-Hour Visa-Free Transit

hong kong stop over

my plan is to fly LON/HKG/PEK .only connecting in HKG . stay 6 days in Beijing.then fly to HKG stay 1 night . but less than 24hrs. and then fly home . can any one tell me if this is OK for 144hrs twov. ?. so i arr from UK stay 6days dep for a 3rd county. hkg. and then return home . thanks . also who can you check with in authority .

If the travel route is HK-Beijing-HK, then you won't qualify for free transit. You need a visa then.

thank you for your answer. but the question is i arr from Lon .via HKG. and then stopover in HKG after PEK. but for less than 24hrs. ??

No you cannot enter China though Hong Kong and leave through Hong Kong. It doesn't matter how long you are in Hong Kong or if you even exit the plane. You are not in transit to China, this is a trip to China so visa will be needed
