About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit FAQ

North America - China - New Zealand

Please advise on the appropriate visa...

Toronto to Beijing (arrival around 6 pm)
Beijing to Auckland (depart around 11 pm the following day)
Auckland to Shanghai (about 5 days later around arriving in Shanghai around 6 pm)
Shanghai to Montreal (depart 6 pm the following day)

It depends on your nationality. If your passport is from one of the 53 listed countries you won't need a visa. Otherwise you will.

Thank you Rob. We are US citizens/passport holders. Will it make a difference if the China-New Zealand flight is on a different reservation than our Canada-China reservation?

I also forgot to mention in my first post that I do have a single entry/exit stamp from Turkey in my current US passport that I received on a layover in 2015. Will this impact my eligibility for the TWOV program?
