About:Jingdong Grand Canyon

Flying with China Eastern and hope to make use of the 144 hour visa as have 4 nights in Shanghai

on my way to Bali (from the UK). Telling the desk when I check in seems too last minute. Can I get something to pre-approve the transit visa?

You cant apply for it in advance. Tell the check in desk that you are taking advantage of transit without Visa, then you apply for the 144 hour entry permit after landing in China. Otherwise you will have to pay for a full visa. Thousands of People do the 144 hour transit every day so nothing to worry about as long as you only land in the one Chinese airport
