Do I need a chinese tourist or transit visa? with my 8 hours layover in xiamen

I'm a Philippine Passport holder. I have trip to Taipei then to USA. My flight from Manila to Taipei is March 29. Then my flight to Taipei to LA is on April 2. I have a layover for 8 hours flying Xiamen Airlines. Do I need to get a Chinese Tourist or Transit Visa for my 8 hrs layover?
