About:144-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Vietnam > Beijing. 144 hrs transit . Open Jaw ticket: Beijing > Los Angeles. stopover. LA > Chile

Hi there,

are you able to advise or if not can you confirm to which official body I should forward my question?
Our travelling plans are pretty straightforward and are really the most basic scenario for a visa-free transit.
Arriving in Beijing via flight from Vietnam. Staying in Beijing for 144 hrs, departing towards US / Chile. Our departing ticket would be an Open Jaw ticket though, i.e. one booking, two separate tickets with a stop of few days in between, Beijing - Los Angeles (or other US city), Los Angeles - Santiago.
Would there be any reason for not being granted a visa-free transit when the following flight is an Open Jaw one? Thanks!

Separate tickets are OK. What you do after you land in the United States doesn't matter. Yiu just need to make sure country before Beijing and the Country after Beijing are not the same country.
