Is it possible to change an S2 to S1 visa in Hong Kong? And what documents would one need to apply?

You need to provide passport, passport-style photo, a completed application form, an invitation letter and copy of inviter's residence permit and passport, as well as your relationship certificate.

Thank you very much for this.
Will they allow me to change the S2 to S1 visa in Hong Kong though? I'm currently in China

You are advised to try to do that at the exit and entry administration of the local PSB within China. If it can succeed, you don’t need to go to HK for that.
