144-hour visa-free stay in Bejing

As of January 1st,2019 visa requirements for Canadian citizens have changed. Is the 144 hour visa-free stay in Beijing still available? We would be flying from UlaanBaatar through Beijing to Canada.

As I know, China's 144-hour visa-free transit policy allows passengers from 53 countries or regions to Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region for no more than 144 hours (6 days) without holding a visa. And Canada is within the 53 countries. You need to take your valid passport and the flight ticket to the third country with confirmed dates and seats as well as fully completed Arrival/Departure Card to apply for visa exemption when you arrive at Beijing airport.
