About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Visa for Guangzhou

I am Canadian currently travelling in South East Asia. I need to go to China for my cousin's wedding in May.

I notice that some application requires old passports. Am I allowed to do a 72 Hour twov?

As long as you don't tell us your flight route, nobody can you give you a proper answer.
If you fly country A - Guangzhou - country C then you're ok for the 72h twov.
