Paying visa penalty at the airport

Hi i have overstayed once with my previous passport and now i have a ticket for 10th Jan in the morning but i am supposed to exit before 9th Jan so this means I’ll be overstay for 4hours with my new passport what is the consequence for that and is it possible to pay at the airport if needed..!?

I'm afraid you cannot pay the penalty at the airport. You need to do it at the exit and entry administration of the local PSB within China.
