About:240-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Help! Does this mean I need to apply for a visa?

Hello
I’m flying from Osaka to Shanghai
And after 120 hours from Shanghai to London. This flight from Shanghai to London does a 2 hour stop in Bejing (I won’t leave the airport)

Yes, you need a visa. Or else you need to change your flight to a non-stop out of China.

No you have to apply for it at the chinese embassy in advance.
It's a tourist L.
