About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Can I get the free transit visa before my trip

I will fly from australia to Shanghai and I will stop only for 48 hours.
Then I have to fly to Hong Kong and I will stop there for 50 hours. Can I get a free transit for Shanghai?

You don't need a transit visa for this trip, you're eligible for the 144h twov in Shanghai.
