About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Can I get the free transit visa before my trip?

I will be flying with my family (total 4) my layover in Beijing is an 1 and 10 minutes. Will I have enough time to get the entry permit and get on my next flight or can I apply for the entry permit before my actual flight, from the USA?

Are you on an international transit?
Then you don't need a visa for the transit.
