X2 Visa to Business Visa

I came to China in September 2018 on an X2 with the intention to study chinese to a relatively basic level so that i can transfer my language skills to my business work. My X2 expires in March 2019, I would like to stay in China on business terms. How realistic do you think it would be for me to be granted the business (M)? Are there any reasons why they could reject my application? Finally, are there certain steps you'd suggest taking to make the probability of my application more successful?

It's possible for you to change the X2 type into M type at the exit and entry administration of the local PSB if you can meet all right documents. You can have a try.
