About:240-hour Visa-free Transit in Shanghai, Zhejiang, and Jiangsu

I am travelling to South Korea from the USA. USA - Shanghai - South Korea.

Will I need to apply for the 144 Travel Visa and if so, while doing the application it asks for a hotel, but my layover is only 5 hours what can I do?
