About:China Visa

Going from cruise ship to airport Shanghai (pvg).

We would be standby passengers and may not be able to leave on a flight immediately. Please advise if 144 hour twov required. The cost of this visa?

You need to show paid ticket which is also known as having a confirmed seat on the flight. Some people have standby tickets that are issued for free to airline staff and their family members which are not accepted by immigration. So you would not be able to apply for the free transit.
