About:How to Travel to China without a Visa

Visa Requirement for separate Shanghai and Beijing visits

Do I need entry permit for a trip where I fly into Shanghai, sightsee for 2 days, board a cruise ship, go to Korea, then sail to Beijing for 2 days of sightseeing?

If the trip would be USA-Shanghai-Korea-Beijing-USA, you can enjoy free transit in Shanghai and Beijing. No visa will be needed.
