About:China Transit Visa

Malaysian passport holder, KUL > CAN > SFO (13 hours layover at night)

I have a few questions please ><

1. Do I need to get entry permit if I want to stay in a hotel outside the airport for the night?

2. Do I need to get entry permit if I want to stay in a hotel inside the airport?

3. Can I try to apply for the 24 hour transit without visa (even though I have malaysian passport?)

You can try to apply for the 24 hour transit without visa after your arrival. If you can get it, you don't need visa for the layover in Guangzhou.
