144 hour transit visa exemption

We are from Australia and travel to Hong Kong at the end of December. We are then going to travel by train to Beijing for a few days and then depart Beijing back to Australia by air. We will remain within the provence over those few days. Do we qualify for the 144 hour free transit exemption?

If you will arrive at Beijing West Railway Station, you will qualify for the 144 hour transit visa exemption

Yes we arrive at Beijing Raiway Station but depart from the international airport. The policy doesn't say the arrival and departure have to be the same but I wasnt sure if that was going to be a problem.
