About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

EU to China

Hi.
I am traveling from EU (with EU passport) to Beijing. 2,5 days later I am flying to Cambodia via KL.
2 weeks later I fly from Vietnam, back to Beijing via Guangzhou, and same day back to EU from Beijing.

As I understood I do qualify for a 72h free transit on my outward journey and on my return, I do qualify for a 24h free transit in Guangzhou. Correct? In both cases I come from a country A, stay in China, and leave for a country C.
One more question: What´s the difference between 72h and 144h free transit?

Thanks in advance
Andrej

Different cities have different rules. Beijing now has 144 hour Transit like Shanghai. Guangzhou will go to 144 hours at some point but is 72 hours now. When you have 2 landing in China it's limited to 24 hour direct transit like your flights back to the EU.
