Hi! If I book my flight from USA to Beijing (just want to see Great Wall)

stay 2 days then purchase my ticket from Beijing to japan I should be good for the 72 hour twov??

No. You must purchase a confirmed, non-stop flight from Beijing to Japan before you leave USA.
