About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Flying standby

I am flying confirmed ticket from Bangkok to Beijing, and i am NOT leaving the airport, then i am leaving Beijing on the very next flight back to chicago on a standby ticket as i work for a airline. Can i do that?? I need to know asap right away. Leaving bangkok shortly thanks

They won't let you board in Bangkok as a standby ticket is not allowed for the twov.
