About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

USA - Beijing - India with more than 72 hour stay

I will arrive at 5 PM into Beijing, directly from USA, then 75 hours later, leaving beijing to India. From what I am reading this is ok because Beijing is 144 hours, is that true?
