Time in Hong Kong

Hi, can we use the 72 hours free transit for a stay in Shanghai 2 days travelling from London then to Hong Kong for one night and then returning from Hong Kong to London? Is there any restriction on how long we would need to stay in Hong Kong after we leave Shanghai? Thanks
